1. September is important for children and youth. School has begun for a new year. Church youth groups are planning for their new year, and promotion creates new classes. What a lot to pray for! 2. Pray for your pastor especially this month. 3. Each year noted in bold beginning on the 3rd, will name the congregation or event we remember. We will pray for those special anniversaries and the people involved long ago and today. 1780 Friedland, NC. Let us remember the elderly, many of whom are unable because of age or health to attend regularly. Perhaps you can visit them in their homes. 4. SUNDAY- Pray for those who teach, lead worship, sing in the choirs, play instruments, and our pastors who will preach today. Support them and be there for them. 5. 1869 Northfield, MN. We have only one congregation in Denmark, but it is very a mission minded group. They have sent many missionaries and now have taken a keen interest in Albania, a very pagan country. 6. For several centuries we had only one congregation in Holland with about 300 members, but they supported Suriname. Now thousands of Moravians have immigrated to Holland and there are a number of huge congregations. 7. We have had some excellent schools and have work in French and a French hymnal in its 29th edition! 8. The largest work is in Germany that began in 1722. There are eight schools and many special missions and the Unity Archives. There are two societies in Sweden, Work has begun to restore the Prayer House groups in Estonia and Latvia which need our prayers. 9. Pray for the leaders of our denomination in the heart of our church. 11. SUNDAY 1854 Watertown, WI. One of the joyful new missions in the Forsyth Co. area is the work among Latinos. We have two leaders who are now employed, Br. Enrique Alcantera, an ordained pastor, Sr. Hilda Regalado, a lay leader. They are both dynamic workers. 12. The churches that produced these two in Peru have expressed a desire to become Moravian Churches. So we may soon add a new country to our Unity. Guide them as they work through the details with the BWM. 13. 1893 Union Cross, NC; 1896 Mizpah, NC. Union Cross will experience much development with a new Dell plant and a new Fed-EX center nearby. A positive hope. 14. 2003 Holly Springs, NC. Holly Springs is a spin off of the Raleigh Church. It is going through growing pains and needs our prayer support. 15.
