PRAY Every Day April, 2003

1. In your prayer times this week find in your concordance verses about LIFE and talk to GOD about these verses.

2. Pray God will miraculously fill people everywhere with a sincere REVERANCE FOR LIFE. .Saviour, fill us with the  LIFE You talked about.

3, Jesus said, I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.  Read John 14 again today. Talk to the Lord about life on earth and everlasting life.  Spend lots of time with the Lord in prayer.

4. Pray for David Fuentes, pastor of the Spanish-speaking people meeting regularly in Immanuel Moravian Church and for Enrique Alcantara reaching Spanish-speaking people in Ardmore Moravian neighborhood.

5. Pray for Mark Ebert; he trains volunteers to go on work projects and to witness for Christ Jesus.

6. SUNDAY - Daylight Savings Time begins. Spend time praying and worshipping at home before going to Sunday school and church. Lift up names of pastor and members to God for His blessing and for wisdom to extend God’s kingdom on earth

7. Pray God to inspire Moravians to look for opportunities to witness for Christ and give us more opportunities to  serve needy people nearby and in other lands.

8. Don’t let a day go by without praying for the leaders of your country; make a list of leaders to pray for.  Pray for children today, too; mention names to God that they might know how God wants us to live.

9. For Christians spreading the Good News of Jesus in Asia. Pray for the 22 million people on the island of Taiwan; there are about 105,000 Presbyterians on Taiwan.

10. The South American nation of Colombia needs our prayers.  Praise God that the number of Christians is growing, especially the charismatics among both Catholics and Protestants, in spite of much lawlessness, violence and drug traffic. 

11. Pray for Michael and Caroline Woo, with baby  Samuel, Ardmore Moravians,  preparing to go to Asia in July to help  people start their own churches.  Today is Enterprise Church’s birthday (1898), Br. Wally Yarbrough, pastor.

12. Pray for African nation of Malawi where two Moravian ministers, Br. Francis Swebe and Br. Rivas Koboma, are serving.  Malawi, a former British colony is very poor, scourged by AIDS and has about 400,000 AIDS orphans. 80% of the population is Christian.

13. PALM SUNDAY – Hallelujah! Hosanna! Lord Jesus, save us from our sinful ways and help us to be loyal to Thee. Determine not to miss any of this Holy Week’s  services. 

14. Each day tell God how much you need Him.  In your prayers include your thanks,  confessions and your faith in Jesus’ sufferings on the cross that forgive us from our sins.

15. Pray for church leaders planning for Moravian  summer camps,  that young people will have inspiring experiences with the Savior and with one another. Keep Br.  Michael Warren, Laurel Ridge camp director and his wife, DeeAnn in your prayers

16. Sweet hour of prayer, sweet hour of prayer, that calls me from a world of care and bids me at my Father’s throne make all my wants and wishes known. You are coming to the King; great petitions with you bring.
 

17. MAUNDY THURSDAY -  Spirit of the living God,  fall afresh on me. Bind our churches together in the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God.
 

18. GOOD FRIDAY - Lord Jesus, we believe it was for our good that you suffered on the cross. The Savior’s blood and righteousness my beauty is, my glorious dress.  Thank you, Lord.
 

19. O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer! Father, how could I start a neighborhood Bible study group?
 

20. EASTER SUNDAY - Glory! Jesus lives!  Often at home read the wonderful Easter Litany from your  hymnal. What a glorious faith we have!
 

21. In addition to your other Scripture reading, could you read each day this week one chapter of 1st, 2nd and 3rd John and talk to God about what He inspired John to write?
 

22. Pray for Br. Tim Byerly’s daughter, Tammy,  a student at UNC-W going with 6 others under Intervarsity Fellowship to Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia, to teach English and tell about salvation through Jesus. 
 

23. Moravian Unity Chairman, Br. Musomba,, asks us to pray for the millions of people worldwide suffering poverty, AIDS, malaria, wars and persecution.  Pray for peace and righteousness on earth.  Mention many nations in prayer.
 

24. Father, give me opportunities today to speak a good word for Jesus.
 

25. April 25, 1790, Moravians began to preach the Gospel on Trinidad; help Moravians to witness today to the 70,000 Muslims on Trinidad. Lord Jesus, move among the men attending Moravian men’s camp at Laurel Ridge today.
 

26. Praise: Bible Education by Extension Mission, served by Br. Will Sibert, reports that Christian churches continue to grow rapidly in Nepal in spite of conflicts with Maoists. Pray for the Kingdom of Nepal situated between India and China.
 

27. THE LORD’S DAY – In 1790 Moravians began to preach the Gospel on the island of Tobago. Today is prayer day for the Board of Evangelism and Homeland Mission.
 

28. Senior Friends Conference begins today at Laurel Ridge. Dear God,  refresh their minds and spirits.
 

29. Franklin Graham:  Around the world an estimated 200,000,000 believers risk torture, imprisonment and even death because they choose to follow Jesus.  Pray for the world. Look at some of the chapters in Revelation today and tomorrow.

30. Today let’s pray for the film makers, newspaper editors and others who help to shape people’s faith, morals, thinking and lives.  Heavenly Father, guide us and protect us.  Billy Graham School of Evangelism begins today and ends on May 2nd near Asheville, NC.
