In a recent meeting with Gordon Sommers, Interim Executive Director
of the Board of World Mission, we discussed the preparing and
sending of work crews into the field. I explained that a number of
crews are scheduled for work this summer. We also discussed plans
for future work in Jamaica and Labrador.
Since all of
this work needs immediate attention, I suggested that a coordinator
be appointed for this work in the absence of staff at the Board at
this time. Gordon asked that I consider being the coordinator until
decisions are made regarding permanent staff. I agreed to assume
these responsibilities, with God’s leading.
I believe in
my heart that this is a crucial time for us as a church. We have
stopped into a time that has made us stop and think about what we
truly believe in our hearts as truth. As we continue to walk the
path He had laid before us, let us be found ever faithful to His
calling. I ask for your prayers as I seek to do His will, that the
Body will continue to be built up, and that His name will be
glorified.
All requests
and information for this work will continue to flow through the
Mission Education Office, P.O. Drawer Y, Salem Station,
Winston-Salem, NC 27108. Please mark them to the attention of Mark
Ebert or Sheila Beaman. You may also use the following phone numbers
and e-mail addresses: Mark – 336.764-5486, e-mail

May God bless
the work of the Church in its walk in this world so that lost souls
would be saved and that the Gospel of Jesus would be preached to the
ends of the earth.
