1, Pray for the people in the 15 Moravian Churches on Antigua.  The first missionary, Samuel Isles, came on April 1, 1756.  Ask God to give them many opportunities to bring people to Christ Jesus.

2, Debbie James, from Friedberg Moravian, was in Iraq last month.  Ask her how we should pray for Iraq’s suffering people. Also ask God to move many men to plan to attend Promise Keepers conference in Greensboro, NC June 18 and 19.

3. Saturdays are busy days. In the morning Jesus went to a solitary place to pray – Mark 1:35.  Do you have a solitary place to pray? Pray God in inspire people preparing to teach children tomorrow.  

4. PALM SUNDAY – a glorious day to worship God! Daylight Savings Time begins. Friedberg’s birthday is today (1773). Pray often as Jesus prayed Father, not my will but Thine be done. Show me Thy will.

5. Southern Province Women’s Board meets today. Pray the Holy Spirit will be present in each Passion Week Service this week. Pray for Jamaican Provincial elder Barry Colquhoune, recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.

6. Today is Olivet’s birthday (1851) – pray for their 421 members and pastor Doug Rights. Pray also God will speak to the world through other denominations around us.

7. In your hymnal at home, let the hymns and liturgies bring you close to God as you pray.  Our citizenship   is in heaven from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:20.

8. MAUNDY THURSDAY – In Holy Communion it is easy to keep our minds on Jesus, confess to Him, accept  His forgiveness and praise Him.

9. GOOD FRIDAY The Saviour’s blood and righteousness my beauty is, my glorious dress; thus well arrayed I need not fear when in His presence I appear. I love you, Lord Jesus. 

10. Today more volunteers are going to Honduras to work and share their faith and pray with Honduran Christians.  Honduran Moravians are more willing to unite as one denomination again, an answer to prayer.

11. EASTER – Pray Easter liturgies in your home as well as in your church   Christians, dismiss your fear…the Lord has risen indeed…He hath Himself the keys of death, the grave, and hell…Death now no more I dread; with Jesus I shall rise-- hymn 356 MBW.

12. Talk about Jesus some times at your table at mealtime at home. Pray for Gundars Ceipe who oversees 9 Moravian fellowships in the Baltic country of Latvia, and Ilona Grante who also helps.

13. Today is Bethania’s birthday (1760). Pray God to bless members and bless their new pastor, Wayne Byerly. On this date in 1732 Moravians in Herrnhut, Germany, had their first Sunrise Resurrection service.

14. Let’s pray for leaders and teachers preparing for summer church camps  and conferences so they can bring younger and older campers closer to the Savior and His teachings.

15. Spend time today meditating on the differences between God’s teachings in the scriptures and worldly teachings. Read some Scripture and ask God, - What are You saying?

16. God wants us to pray – Call to me and I will answer you and I will show you great and mighty things which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3, Ask the Lord to bless the Women’s Retreat at the Prince of Peace Moravian Church in Miami

17. Pray today for President Bush, Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta,, Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham.  Inspire them to lead the nation in ways that will please Thee, dear God.

18. THE LORD’S DAY – While your teacher or preacher speaks, pray: God, please speak to me through them.

19. Pray for the 80 Moravian churches71 outstations and leader Angelene Swart in South Africa. Good freedom, but also sad poverty and AIDS there. 

20. Today is Calvary’s birthday (1893) – pastor is Bishop Lane Sapp.   Pray God to guide Moravian Seminary trustees meeting today. Find their names on pages 61 and 62 in the Daily Text Book directory.

21. Today is Leaksville Moravian’s birthday (1929) Br. Bob Peterson, pastor–and former pastor John Christman. Pray also for Br. Nagendra Pradhan teaching refugees from Tibet and other people in Nepal, north of India in one of our newest outreach countries.

22. Pray for 59 Moravian churches and other preaching places in western Tanzania, and their Christian work in war-torn Congo.  There are many AIDS victims.

23. Our day  to gaze  upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple. Can you find this verse in your Bible?  Pray for your congregation’s children and youth.

24. Pray for Moravian candidates for the ministry: Walter Bishop, Christy Parsons Clore, Willie Israel, Russell May, Ramona Routh and Tim Sapp.

25. SUNDAY Evangelism and Home Mission Prayer Day. Pray for the Board and leaders; Br. David Guthrie, Sr. Jane Vannoy, Sr. Judy Knopf, Br. David Fischler, Br. David Marcus, Br. Roma Combs, and Br. Robert Wolfe.

26. Pray for people attending the Senior Friends’ conference at Laurel Ridge, until April 28.

27. Lord Jesus Christ, help me to see things the way You do.  Protect me from Satan. Help me to take care of those I’m supposed to help. 

28. Pray for the new president and CEO at Salemtowne, Br. Joe Lydon, and other workers and people who live there.

29. Pray for bishops and their ministries – D. Wayne Burkette, C. Hopeton Clennon, M. Blair Couch, Arthur J. Freeman, Paul A. Graf, Percival R. Henkleman, James C. Hughes, Robert A. Iobst, Douglas H. Kleintop. Milo A. Loppnow, Graham H. Rights, Lane A. Sapp, Warren A. Sautibin, Edwin A Sawyer, Stanley F. Thomas, Kay Ward, and John F. Wilson. These brothers and sisters remember us and the whole kingdom of God in prayer and meditation.

30. Widows Covenant Day – Of the 210 million adults in the USA about 175 million claim to be Christian but only about 7 million have a biblical worldview, according to Think Like Jesus by George Barna (published 2003).  Pray for our beautiful country and our role in a wartorn world.
