1. Give God pleasure by praising Him and loving Him. Praise Him for bringing Dr. Richard Marx medical and evangelism team safely back from Iraq.

2. The day for Thy Church to worship. Sing to the glory of His name. Psalm 66:1. It’s all about Him.

3. Make plans to organize or attend a National Day of Prayer meeting this week. Confess our sins (both person and national) to God and ask for forgiveness and guidance.

4. Single Sisters Covenant Day (started on May 4, 1730 and celebrated on Sunday nearest May 4). Also pray God will use the movie The Passion of Christ  and also continue to use the older Jesus Film  to bring millions of people to Himself.

5. Today pray for two churches with birthdays: Fairview (1895), pastor Riddick Weber, and St. Philips (1822) and new pastor, Sandra Thigpen.

6. National Day of Prayer. Confess personal and national sins to God. Pray  for all those in authority that we may live quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. Moravian Ministers meet today.

7. Every day of the week make time for your thirsty soul to open up to God. Try reading 10 Psalms every day. Your prayers and praise rise as incense to God and give Him pleasure. See Rev. 5:8.

8. The more people we bring to God the more glory and pleasure we give to Him. Pray for foreign missions and new Interprovincial Mission Director Rev. Will Sibert.

9. Moravian Music Sunday and Mothers Day. Pray for all people at Moravian retirement community – Salemtowne. Pray for people next to you in church.

10. Father, defend us from people who hate Your Name and reject Your commandments. Help me to glorify Your Name. Help me to speak a good word for You to people I meet today.

11. Paul told Ephesians elders I have taught you publicly and from house to house. In your prayer times ask God how to start a Bible study or prayer group in your house. Bless my house, dear God.

12. Moravian Brotherly Agreement (now called Covenant For Christian Living) was adopted on this date in 1727. Be sure to get a copy; read it from time to time and talk to God about it.

13. Billy Graham’s son, Franklin, urges people to ask God to guide leaders in our country to take a stand on biblically based moral issues; pray for legislators, lawyers, teachers.

14. Pray for Br. Mark Ebert who tomorrow will be teaching Raleigh Moravians preparing to go to Costa Rica on a mission trip.

15. Pray for Florida District Board meeting today (read names on page 54 in back part of Moravian Daily Text Book) that God would guide them to find unreached people with the Good News of Jesus

16. Sunday. Pray that the students who graduated from Moravian Theological Seminary yesterday may be filled with the Holy Spirit. Pray God to bless Br. Joe and Sr. Kelly Moore being consecrated as presbyters in Mayodan today.

17. Victoria Day in Canada. Pray for the approximately 1,300 Moravians in Alberta, Canada: Bruderheim: Christ, Good Shepherd in Calgary; Edmonton, Millwoods, Rio Terrace, Good News and Heimtal, all in Edmonton.

18. My times are in Thy hand, Jesus the Crucified, the hand my many sins have pierced is now my Guard and Guide. Thy suffering paid for all my sins. Thank you. I am sorry I caused You pain.

19. Birthday of New Beginning Moravian Church in Huntersville Chris Thore, pastor. Pray they will grow in faith and ability to find souls to bring to the Master.

20. Ascension Day. Hail The Day That Sees Him Rise – 371. Come back soon, Lord Jesus. We want to be with You. We adore You. I love You. Sing some hymns to Him – or read the words to Him.

21. Dear God, help me to share the faith in the Savior with my family and relatives. Help me to do it, Father.

22. Pray for Br. Mark Ebert training New Philadelphia folks who will soon be sharing physical skills and their Faith on Jamaica Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who makes you give a reason for the hope you have. 1st Peter 3:13.

23. Sunday. Let’s go and praise the Lord and give Him glory. Help us to reach out to people beyond the church who need Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

24. Today is Macedonia Church’s birthday (1856).  Pray God to bless and guide each member and Pastor Greg Little.

25. Today pray for Greece (the first European country to be evangelized - read Acts 16:10). Only 2% of the people there attend church according to Operation World.

26. Dr. Gerard Rudy is to speak to Raleigh Moravians about medical work in Honduras. Bless the gathering with love for needy people.

27. Pray for the 8 (or more) million people in Haiti, the poorest nation in the western hemisphere occupying the same island with the Dominican Republic (also poor) – that both nations will know the Good News of Jesus Christ.

28. Iraq. Continue to pray for the people of Iraq.

29. Pray for children that mothers and fathers will fill their precious minds with the teachings and love of Jesus. Pray, too, for Scout leaders and other leaders of children and youth groups.

30. A reason to praise God today: Open Doors estimates there are 60 to 80 million Christians in China.  Pray also for New Philadelphia listening to missionary Dr. Gerard Rudy talk about missions.

31. Memorial Day. Pray for our diplomats serving in many countries around the world - for peace and law and order and the many good things God gives.
