1.      I long for You, dear God. Please guide Moravian Mission Board members (Kevin Stagg, Chair) meeting in Bethlehem today & tomorrow.  Pour out Thy Spirit upon them.

2.      Ask God to give a sense of HIS PRESENCE today to persons meeting in Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem where Sam Gray & will Siebert are being installed as mission leaders.

3.      WORLD-WIDE COMMUNION SUNDAY. Ask God to inspire Christians to spread the GOSPEL in their neighborhoods & across the world. Today also is birthday of Moravia Moravian (1896) at Oak Ridge [Bill Campbell, pastor]. Pray for YOUTH RALLY at Bethania – that young folks will spread the GOSPEL.

4.      CONTINUE TO TAKE YOUR health kits TO CHRIST CHURCH to send to needy people later this month. Today is Raleigh Moravian’s birthday (1953) – pray for them & Pastor Craig Troutman.

5.      Pray often for Debbie Propsom who teaches women and children in Labrador.

6.      Pray for HOUSE OF GRACE, a Christian orphanage in rural Thailand for AIDS orphans & children suffering with HIV positive (their leader is Pastor Kittisak) supported by Samaritans Purse.

7.      Today let’s pray for the combined IMMANUEL (1912) & NEW EDEN (1923) congregations (combined in 2002) & Pastor Bob Peak. Also, pray God’s Spirit will be with Moravian ministers in their monthly meeting today.

8.      Today is Rolling Hills Moravian (1967) birthday in Florida, that God will inspire them to save many souls for Him; pastor is Willie Israel.

9.      (Do you pray on Saturdays?) Read Psalm 31 & use some of these words in your prayers today.

10.    This is the day the Lord has made; Thank Him, Praise Him. This is a day some Moravians in Alaska remember. Pray for people who don’t have time for God.

11.    Representatives of the four large Moravian provinces of TANZANIA will discuss their problems & victories in Jesus today in Basil, Switzerland. Pray God will guide them.

12.    In addition to your regular prayers and devotional readings, READ ONE CHAPTER EACH DAY of 2^nd Corinthians & talk to God about what He inspired to be written there?

13.    Give your full attention to God for 15 minutes now. Wait upon Him. Tell God you love Him. Let God love you. Ask Him for special orders today.

14.    PRAISE God because because Chinese Christians are witnessing for Jesus to people of Tibet (Operation World).

15.    (to 17) many Moravian YOUTH LEADERS will be attending a leaders conference at Massannetta Springs, VA. Pray God will give them wisdom  & apirit to share with their young people back home.

17.    The Day for the Whole congregation to Worship the Lord Together (but in some churches, less than 1/2 the members attend). “Lord, Your doby ne’er forsake, ne’er your congregation leave – for on Your supreme commands all the universe depends.”

18.    I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord; O make me Thine indeed. Do you have a hymn book? They are filled with words to be used in prayers.

19.    Today & tomorrow trustees of Moravian Theological seminary are to meet. See trustees’ name in back of Daily Text Book.

20.    Dear God, give me wisdom to vote for persons You want to govern this land, Christ-like persons who will keep our nation strong & righteous.

21.    Pray God to guide Moravian College trustees meeting today & tomorrow in Bethlehem. Almighty God, guide every student, teacher & employee.

22.    Ask God tobless members & Pastor Keith White of BETHESADAY. (1899) Make them a blessing to one another & winners of souls for You

23.    On this busy day, spend at least 15 minutes alone with God. Name your blessings & confess your sins to Him. Thank Him & ask Him to guide you always.

24.    THE LORD’S DAY. Worship & adore Almighty God. Encourage your Sunday school teacher & your pastor

25.    Use the words of Psalm 31 in your prayers now. Christ Moravian Church’s birthday (1896). Bro. Neil Routh is their pastor.

26.    Of the approx. 6 billion people on earth, 1/3 live in areas un-reached by Christ’s Good News. Let’s pray for them today. How will they hear?

27.    Today is the deadline for taking you Health Kits to Christ Moravian for shipment to poverty stricken places.

28.    22 million people from other nations visit the USA each year. Pray they will meet loving Christians who be friend them & tell them about eternal salvation.

29.    Pray for the approx. 30 million people SUDAN. They speak 132 different languages.

30.    Instead of witches & frightening goblins, organize a party celebrating lives of Christian saints – saints of ancient days & also saints still living among us. (All Saints Day is Nov. 1)

31.    SUNDAY. Reformation Day. (Daylight Savings Time ends.) Talk to God about His gift to you OF TIME.  Read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.  Then could you sing the hymn “When The Trumpet of the Lord Shall Sound and TIME Shall Be No More”?  ETERNITY.
