We are grateful to those who reacted positively to the persecution they were undergoing by starting a new life. ASH WEDNESDAY- Lent. 2. The British Daily Watchwords (Texts) has many suggestions for prayer. We will adapt some of them for our needs. We are grateful for the important role that prayer has played in the history of our church. Help us to be faithful in our prayer life today. 3. Call us to prayer for renewal of our church beginning with our own congregation. Bless our leaders and make them aware of the need for new life and outreach. 4. May my worship, fellowship and learning ignite me to begin a real renewal in my congregation, in remembrance of Jesus. 6. We thank you for every sign of that power at work in our province in our own time. There are many incidents! 7. We confess our responsibility for not helping to make more of these signs. Our lack of faithfulness and vision has hindered them. 8. Renew our confidence in your promise to hear and answer our prayer; renew our conviction that it is through believing prayer that your work will prosper. 9. Renew our concern that Your will may be done and Your Kingdom come, in and through us. 10. Renew us, Your children, cleanse and fill us with Your power, so that we may become instruments for renewal in Your hands, so Your name may be praised. 11. As winter draws to a close and the renewal of spring can be felt and seen about us, bring renewal to us and to our church as well. 12. SUNDAY – Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. (Ps.100:4)
