PRAYER FOCUS NOVEMBER 2006 Vani and Shanti Pradhan (and Nahum!) |
Brother Shanti and Sister Vani Pradhan are members of the Moravian Upasana Church in Nepal, which started about 10 years ago as a small house fellowship. Since then it has continued to grow in number and other works of the Lord. Lack of equipped workers and the desire to serve the Lord directed them to explore new ways to fill this gap. They felt called to change their voluntary support to the church into a full-time commitment. In making this change however, the Pradhans felt inadequate to take up this responsibility, so they decided to study further to prepare themselves for this call. The Pradhans are presently studying at Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA. Their long range hope is to continue to work among the Nepalese people in Nepal, either in the capacity of church clergy or in the Christian music ministry. They could be involved in many different needs of the church and Music ministry. The harvest is plenty but the workers are few Prayer concerns close to their heart. (These concerns were submitted by the Pradhans) 1. The Moravian church in Nepal is looking for a space to rent and use for worship and other church activities. The present landlord is reluctant to lease the place unless we agree to pay more than what we are paying. 2. New people continue to come, and the opportunity to evangelize is plenty but there is a growing need for more committed and equipped people and resources to help in this task. 3. Our academic load at the Seminary is very challenging but we are still struggling to understand a lot of things and cope with our new lives here. 4. Our son Nahum is trying to work around our schedule and make new friends. He misses his brother (cousin) and his Sunday school friends very much. 5. The School of Music and Worship is undergoing a transition; they require prayers for new and committed workers. The 22nd session of the school has commenced and a mobile camp is scheduled for December 8 to 13.
Please pray for the Pradhans and their ministry! |
