Circle #1 meets at 10am

Circle #1 serves the women of Bethabara Moravian Church in many ways. It is a women's fellowship, giving the ladies of our church many avenues of service and worship. This year we are studying the Book of James, and are applying the code of Christian ethics into our daily lives. We are examining our commitment to Jesus Christ in the ways we relate to our family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, church friends and acquaintances, the world as a whole.

Circle #1 supports our missions through the Sunnyside Ministry on a regular basis. This ministry is sponsored by the Southern Moravian Province. We send monthly support, supply clothing, food and voluntary service time on a regular basis. The circle is also the primary provider of our Chicken Pie sales. We made over 500 pies last year, and are taking orders for the ones we are to make for our spring fund raiser. Last year we sent funds to the Kentucky Coal miners mission, serving the poor in Appalachia in five states. We also helped with the health and cleanup bundles that were sent to Honduras and Nicaragua after theiir hurricane damage. Most of our mission work is on-going, and we are constantly looking for new areas in which to help.

The circle has an active prayer circle, and can put needs on our list as desired. Every member is called, and our prayers are sent posthaste without delay. If anyone has a concern, please contact our Leader, Dawn Douglas at 924-5149, and it will be added to our prayer chain. We are praying for our members and the concerns of our church on a daily basis.

Circle #1 meets at 10 AM on the first Monday of each month throughout the entire year. Clara Pou leads our Bible study, and Sara Cooke leads us in our world mission studies. Sarah Holland keeps up with our sick and good-cheer in the Sunshine committee. Cards and flowers are send to those in the hospitals, and Margaret Gabriel has been excellent in helping Sarah this past year.

If you would like to attend any of our meetings, we would be so happy to have you join us! Dawn has done her service by taking on every station in making chicken pies. She has now progressed to rolling the dough, and then will finish up her learning with making the thickener! Our new leader has made it one year, and is working on another! After the seven year leadership under Sara Holland, Dawn has a lot to learn! Thanks
for everyone's help and patience! Hope to see all interested persons at our next meeting, March 2.
